Amazing and wonderful staff! They were so kind and attentive while we were there. It was not the results we were hoping for but the fact that we were with our sweet dog every second while she was there gave us such comfort. No being taken from us and shoved in a cage in the back alone. We were able to spend her last night in a room with her. We were even able to bring our other dog into the room to say goodbye. I can not recommend them enough.

Took our dragon today and saw Dr Perkins. She was so kind and helpful along with all the staff! I had a lot of anxiety going in and she calmed me and looked over our dragon. I recommend if needing a er vet

This was truly the best “worst” experience, and VEG Pleasant Hill is absolutely outstanding. I honestly wish I could take missy here for her primary care. I brought in my 16-year-old cat, Missy, who has both CKD and diabetes, after she started declining. We quickly learned that her kidney levels had skyrocketed, and we made the difficult decision to hospitalize her for two days of intensive IV therapy. Any situation this serious comes with a heavy financial burden, but the level of care, compassion, and service we received at VEG far outweighed the cost. From the very beginning, the staff was absolutely amazing. Every nurse and doctor we encountered was clearly passionate about their work and deeply cared for every pet in their charge. They were kind, attentive, and incredibly accommodating checking on Missy hourly, providing constant updates, and giving her genuine love along with the best care I’ve ever experienced at a veterinary hospital. Missy absolutely adored our night nurse, Taylor Plum. Taylor was truly exceptional. Whether Missy knew her in a past life or just sensed her kindness, she was completely calm and at ease in her care. Taylor was so intuitive and aware, understanding that Missy is an elderly cat dealing with more than just an emergency. She was gentle, patient, and deeply compassionate. Watching Missy try to rub against her while Taylor drew blood eased my anxiety in ways I can’t fully describe. Beyond the incredible staff, the facility itself is remarkable. The open-concept hospital allows you to see everything happening, which builds so much trust and transparency. Because Missy required an extended overnight stay, I was able to stay with her the entire time, which meant everything to me. The room included a pull-out bed, and the staff went out of their way to help me get settled and comfortable. Our bundle of energy golden doodle went from pulling too hard on the leash and chasing balls one minute to just not right the next. Took him into VEG he could barely lift his head. They remarkably quickly diagnosed a tumor on his spleen, bleeding into his abdomen. Quickly opted for surgery. Once they got the blood there, all I can say is if I or my family are ever sick I pray the doctors and nursing staff are as professional and caring as those that worked on and saved Bowie. After the surgery, they let me stay with him all night and the next night were able to set up a room where I could be him all night. again he’s not used to being away from us or with strangers and they understood. I can honestly say every person there treated him as if he was pert of their own family. All of this at Christmas and Christmas Eve. we got home on Christmas Day rough Christmas but the best present I ever got is more time with our guy. I can’t recommend or ever thank enough the doctors and staff at Veterinary Emergency Group.

I brought my papillon/ chihuahua mix to the ER and the staff was very welcoming, and the atmosphere was chill. The doctors and staff are caring and was helpful to work with me for Maddys issues. Satisfied customer, do recommend. Thank you <3 Update: Madalyn is back to herself 100%! Thank you!!

I can't say enough good things about VEG. After my dog was bitten by a rattlesnake last week, we rushed him in, and from the moment we arrived, the staff was incredible. They immediately took my pup in, were so gentle, and kept us informed every step of the way. They made us feel at ease, even offering coffee and water to my family while we waited. I really appreciated their transparency and care--it was never about just the money, it was all about helping us and our dog. I'm so grateful to them!

My dog had been missing since Christmas. Miraculously, she found her own way home after 15 days. She was emaciated, covered in ticks, and had a bad limp. After being turned away from our own vet (Diablo View Veterinary) and another, VEG ER welcomed us in with open arms. I was desperate for help. The staff here literally laid on the floor with me picking ticks off for 1.5 hours. We got blood work, and also determined that our dog had a badly broken femur in multiple places. The surgery was expensive, and I was concerned I would have no choice, but to euthanize my dog. It seemed so wrong to put her down after all she had been through. VEG ER was able to put me in touch with a wonderful surgeon. I can't thank them enough for helping us.

My husband brought our dog Molly to VEG back in October. I had heard great things about VEG and its emergency care for pets. We had one previous experience that was resolved via a phone call with one of the vets who was on staff that night, so my husband knew to bring our dog here while I was out of town. He was very impressed with the whole set up. They have an open floor plan, while also having smaller rooms for situations that require them. Our dogs issue was taken care of, and my husband was on his way back home in less than two hours. Our sweet girls care team was Dr. Kwan and nurses Kyle and Carlos. This will be our go to place anytime we have an emergency with our pets.

I cannot thank the team here enough for the incredible care they provided for my dog, Duke. Emergency vet visits are always stressful, but Tiana, Zoey, Dr. Molly, and Dr. Rudin were all absolutely fantastic. From the moment I called and then when we arrived shortly after, they were caring, understanding, and genuinely invested in my dog's well-being. The clinic itself was pristine, and even though there were a lot of animals being triaged when we were there, the environment did not seem chaotic at all. They ran everything so efficiently. The team reallt went above and beyond to help ease my nerves, explaining everything in a very calm, thorough, and easy-to-understand way. Having that level of clear communication and compassion during a scary moment made all the difference. I am so grateful to everyone there and would highly, highly recommend them. Thank you!

I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for this veterinary clinic and its exceptional staff. They are incredibly professional, and Katie girl and I felt a profound sense of compassion and care from the entire team. They went above and beyond to ensure that my family and I had more time with Katie girl, despite the uncertainty and risks involved. They took every measure they could to provide the best possible care, and I believe they did it to the best of their abilities. I won’t delve into all the details or make exaggerated claims about this group’s abilities. However, this particular miracle was unexpected for Katie and me. I want to emphasize that this clinic stands out as the best veterinary facility I’ve ever visited. The design and ambiance are delightful, but the staff truly surpasses all expectations. Their unwavering faith and determination are truly inspiring. When I was at my lowest, overwhelmed with tears and heartache, they were there to support me. They had unwavering faith in the outcome and kept reminding me not to lose hope. They meticulously explored every possibility, ensuring they had all the complete information and steps before asking me if I wanted to proceed or let Katie move on. While this is great to know, I ultimately understood that things may change and not be what was thought out to be. I fully understood this and that’s why I was okay either way because they earned my trust and helped Katie feel better right at that moment of pain. They even went the extra mile to research and consult with other professionals to ensure that they had all the information they needed. They checked all the boxes and made sure that everything was in order. This team, along with their sponsors and funders, truly deserve long life and the best things in life.
